Morag Lloyds - Secret Spot
Morag Lloyds - After training in London with various in-house design teams in the 1980’s, Morag moved to Kent where she studied fine art part time at Kent college with Jim Gunnel. Then, after moving back up to Scotland, she carried on working freelance later returning to College studying Design Illustration and Fine Art. Since graduating Morag has had her work accepted to the R.S.W and R.S.A annual exhibitions, she has shown her work with galleries around the UK and has exhibited at Surtex New York, AAF London and New York as well as Brand licensing London, recently showing with Flying Colours Gallery at the British Art Fair in London.
I like to think that my work makes people smile. Sometimes at events I see people running past my stand to go for this and that and suddenly they stop and look and smile and that makes me happy !
I am inspired by many things, but mostly the sea and Islands
I have also developed 3d work from driftwood/scrap wood and found objects either from beaches or discarded, these little works are inspired from my sketches and 20 years of sailing around the western Islands of Scotland..
